Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM)
Bachy Soletanche BAUER BG24H and BG40 can be adapted to CSM technology and our Engineers have experience in deep soil mixing technology. We can also undertake Cutter Soil Mixing utilising the XS2 system combined with the LRB 155 piling multi purpose machine.
What is Cutter Soil Mixing?
Cutter Soil Mixing (CSM) is a ground improvement technique that is commonly used in civil engineering projects to enhance the soil's mechanical properties. With the use of specialised machinery, CSM creates a uniform soil-cement or soil-lime combination by mixing the soil in place with a binder substance like cement or lime. A spinning cutterhead is used to combine the soil and binder material to create a soil-cement or soil-lime column. The columns improve the soil's stiffness, carrying capacity, and shear strength, making it appropriate for foundations, retaining walls, embankments, and other constructions. CSM may be used to treat a variety of soil types, including soft soils, organic soils, and polluted soils. It is economical and environmentally beneficial.
